Anti-money-laundering policy

Precious metals can be misused to move illicit money. This policy explains the steps we take to prevent that, and what it means for you as a customer. Last updated: September 1, 2026.

Our commitment

AU Trading LLC complies with the US anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing laws that apply to dealers in precious metals, including the Bank Secrecy Act and FinCEN's anti-money-laundering program rule for dealers in precious metals, precious stones or jewels (31 CFR Part 1027), as applicable, and with the sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Compliance questions can be sent to compliance@autrading.us.

Knowing our customers

We verify the identity of customers whose purchases reach $10,000 within 12 months, whether in one order or several, and whenever something about an order gives us reason to. Verification includes a government-issued photo ID, proof of address, information about the source of funds and a signed declaration. For high-value or higher-risk transactions, we carry out enhanced checks and may ask for proof of the source of funds, at our discretion.

Checking payments

We accept payment only by domestic wire transfer or ACH from a bank account in the customer's own name (or, for a business, the business's name). We check that the name on each payment matches the customer, and we return payments from third parties. We do not accept cash.

Sanctions

We do not deal with people, companies or other organizations that are sanctioned or designated by the United States (OFAC), the United Nations, the European Union or the United Kingdom. Customers are screened against these lists.

Reporting and records

Where the law requires it, we report suspicious activity to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), and we may be prohibited from telling the customer that we have done so. We keep identity and transaction records for at least five years.

What this means for you

Most orders go through without delay. If we need more information, we will ask for it by email and hold your order until we receive it. Providing false information may be a crime, and we will cancel any order where we suspect it.
